Are there any major events planned for the
2008-2009 year?
Yes!
- Relay for life – 10/17/08-10/18/08. Our youth team raised over $1000 last
year for the American Cancer Society.
It allows kids to serve our community here in Buckeye in a fun and
easy way.
- Mexico Missions Trip with AMOR Ministries – 2/13/09-2/16/09.
Building houses for people in Mexico. It is an amazing spiritual experience,
as well as having kids the opportunity to see how people live outside America.
- Spring Youth Retreat – 4/17/09-4/19/09. Last
year it was an amazing literal and figurative mountain top experience for
both students and leaders as we spent time in Sedona. We’re planning on a similar trip for
this year.

We at Summit sincerely hope the kids who were involved with
Avalanche last year continue to support it and that every one who has expressed
interest during the summer can come and give Avalanche a try this year.
