October 2027 | La Cuchilla, Guatemala

Pack your bags and get ready for an unforgettable week in Guatemala! Join Summit as we partner with Children’s HopeChest and four other churches to serve the community of La Cuchilla and the 100+ children our partnership supports.

This isn’t just a trip—it’s an opportunity to serve, connect, encourage, and experience what God is doing firsthand.

While we’re in Guatemala, you’ll:

• Hang out, play games, and share the love of Jesus with kids at the La Cuchilla Carepoint
• Roll up your sleeves and serve through a hands-on community project
• Encourage and refresh the amazing Carepoint staff who serve the community year-round
• Experience Guatemalan culture, including the sights, food, and everyday life of the community
• See God at work through the relationships and ministry happening in La Cuchilla
• Make new friends and build unforgettable memories with your Summit teammates

Come ready to serve, have fun, love on some amazing kids, and see how God can use you to make a difference.

Dates: Late October-Early November 2027

Cost: $1,650, plus airfare and cultural days

Passport: Each person needs to have a current passport and it must be good for 6 months from the date of return to the USA.

Lodging: Hotel stays in each of the cities that are visited. Most rooms are double occupancy but there may be options for individual rooms at an additional cost.

Participants: This mission trip is made up of participants from Summit and our 3 other partner churches in Phoenix. Summit is the lead for the trip.

Becoming a Child’s Friendship Partner

A Friendship Partnership enables you to enjoy the unique opportunity to have a one-on-one personal relationship with a child living in La Cuchilla. Through letters, photos, and even potential mission visits, you will have an opportunity to build a friendship that can last a lifetime and provide hope for a vulnerable child.

Responsibilities of a Friendship Partner

* Keep your Friendship Partner child in prayer
* Write letters to your child at least 3 times per year
* Optional mission visits to see your child
* Cost is $45 per month which supports the nutritional, educational, and medical needs of your child
