Police Chief Larry Hall is a 31- year veteran of law enforcement and was appointed Police Chief for the City of Buckeye in January of 2014. He started his career in 1990 with the New York City Police Department and worked a variety of assignments to include patrol, the community police officer program and within an undercover anti-crime unit. In 1995, he came to Arizona and went to work for the Mesa Police Department. After serving in patrol as a training officer, gang unit officer and as a sergeant, he came to City of Buckeye as a sergeant in 2006.

The City of Buckeye, which is the fastest growing city in the State of Arizona and the 5^th fastest growing city in the nation is unique in the fact that the city’s geographical planning area spans 650 square miles. During his time in Buckeye, Chief Hall served in patrol, investigations, SWAT and administration. While rising through the ranks of the Buckeye Police Department, he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Education and a Master’s Degree in Administration. While serving as police chief, the department moved into several new facilities and also earned Law Enforcement Accreditation as well as Public Safety Communications Center Accreditation through the Commission on Accreditation of Law Enforcement Agencies. Buckeye PD is the only agency in the State of Arizona that holds a dual accredited status with the Commission.

Chief Hall served as a board member with the Arizona Peace Officers Standards and Training Board, and is currently President of the West Valley Chiefs Association. He is a Charter Member of the Verrado Rotary and is a Board Member with Concerns of Police Survivors Arizona, serving in the role of Agency Liaison. Chief Hall is a graduate of Northwestern University’s School of Police Staff and Command, the FBI National Academy and Harvard University’s Executives in State and Local Government Program. He is married with an adult aged daughter and a teenaged son.
