Description

We all want to help others but sometimes our good intentions are more harmful than helpful. Poverty is much more than simply a lack of material resources, and it takes much more than donations and handouts to solve it. When Helping Hurts shows how some alleviation efforts, failing to consider the complexities of poverty, have actually (and unintentionally) done more harm than good. Through this study together, we will learn what types of help lead to long term change, think through our understanding of poverty, and how to help people effectively.

Following the study above, our group will be moving into a church-wide vision series where we will be digging into the book of Acts looking at the early church and where God is leading Summit over the next several years.
